The Story

Old Dhokra brass rice measure from Orissa in North East India. Used for measuring out rice in bazaars and for cooking. 
Dhokra metal casting is one of the oldest traditional techniques of metal casting in India that uses the lost wax casting method.
Each piece is individually made by hand and has its own unique character, these would make great planters as well as desk tidies and storage pots.
