Blue Painted Dog Gate From Gujarat - 19th Century

Dog gates were used in front of the main entrance door of Gujarati Havelis to keep animals out. This one is made from teak wood and has beautifully aged blue paint. 

They make very interesting & decorative garden gates & are suitable for outdoor use. They are also often used as unique pieces of wall art.
